Description
This large and heavy solid silver spanish cross with Jesus cast in high relief was found in the remains of an old stone building that may have been a tavern that sank in Port Royal harbor during the earthquake of 1692.
The dimensions are 2 3/16" x 1 1/16" with a 1 5/16" figure of Jesus on the cross.
This artifact has been professionally conserved and cleaned by the Port Royal Museum to show the details and had additional cleaning performed by Global Exploration, LLC to remove green corrosion.
This artifact was apart of the Joseph Becker collection and was on display in the Port Royal Museum for many years.
This artifact comes with a certificate of authenticity.
