Description
This is a set of five Spanish Maravedi coins found off the coast of Greece on a shipwreck site in the Mediterranean Sea. These coins are from the 1600’s and minted between 1621-1655 based on the imprints shown from the time period and other coins found on this same shipwreck.
These coins are all made from hand struck copper. Based on the design, these coins were minted during the reign of Philip IV (Felipe) from 1621-1655. The original values of these coins were between 1-16 Maravedi.
These artifacts come with a Certificate of Authenticity from Global Xploration.
