Description
This artifact is a Dutch signal cannon that was found off the coast of the Netherlands. This cannon is believed to be from the 1600's.
This signal cannon was used by sailors to signal other vessels as a warning or to gain attention. It is very rare to find one that has a slanted barrel whereas most are 90 degrees vertical. This cannon is made of iron and physical pitting (result of corrosion - very common) can be seen on all sides of the artifact from years of being in the ocean. All corrosion has been cleaned from the cannon and only the original iron remains.
This artifact comes with a certificate of authenticity.
